This is a built-in role that includes all report module users. Thus, if you change the settings for that role, the changes will affect all users.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s create a new role in BAT. In this list you can select the hierarchies, visible for this role:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_9.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2348\" src=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"386\" height=\"574\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_9.png 386w, https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_9-303x450.png 303w, https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_9-202x300.png 202w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 386px) 100vw, 386px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>First, press the \u00abSelect All\u00bb button, and then uncheck all hierarchies under the \u201cCustomer\u201d dimension:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_10.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2349\" src=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_10.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"386\" height=\"574\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_10.png 386w, https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_10-303x450.png 303w, https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_10-202x300.png 202w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 386px) 100vw, 386px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thus, you banned the users included in Test Role from seeing the whole dimension \u201cCustomer\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>On \u201cMeasures\u201d, \u201cKPI\u201d and \u201cCalculations\u201d tabs you can similarly set the visible measures, KPIs and calculated measures, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Press \u00abOK\u00bb to save your changes. Now in the list of restrictions you will see that there are restrictions set for the cube Adventure Works:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_11-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9015\" src=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_11-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"907\" height=\"189\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_11-1.png 907w, https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_11-1-450x94.png 450w, https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_11-1-300x63.png 300w, https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/10_11-1-768x160.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 907px) 100vw, 907px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the \u201cPermissions\u201d tab you can set the access rules for dimensions members for the role. This is done exactly the same way as you did it for report module users, so we are not going to describe that process once again.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cParameters\u201d tab is used to quickly set up the access rights on dimensions members for a big group of users.
