Let\u2019s show how to sort rows in the table on the following example report:<\/p>\n

Filters are turned off. Product subcategories are on the rows, years \u2013 on the columns.<\/p>\n

Using this example report let\u2019s sort the rows in the table in the descending order of sales in 2017. Press the right mouse button over the CY 2017 column header:<\/p>\n

Select \u201cAdd Sorting of Rows (Expert Mode)\u201d from the context menu as shown on the picture above. You will get a dialog that looks like the one you were using to create the filter:<\/p>\n

Note that the time is already selected correctly (that\u2019s because we called the context menu for the CY 2017 element). Let\u2019s change the sorting order to \u201cDescending\u201d (as in the picture) and leave the field \u201cSave Hierarchy\u201d unchecked. Press OK. You will get the table with the values in the CY 2017 column sorted descending:<\/p>\n

Note the \u201cSorting 1\u201d sign that appeared in the \u201cSorting\u201d designer on rows. You can perform the same actions with it as you did with the filters: activate, deactivate, edit and remove.<\/p>\n

The same sorting can be created easier using one of the quick sorting options. To use it call the context menu for the CY 2017 element and select \u201cSort Descending (break hierarchy)\u201d from it:<\/p>\n

As you could notice, there are 4 options of quick sorting available:<\/p>\n
