To create a new calculated measure press the right mouse button anywhere in the measures list. You will see the context menu, which will give you an ability to add calculated measures:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_92.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3945\" src=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_92.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"301\" height=\"213\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After pressing \u201cNew Measure \u2026\u201d item you will see a wizard that will help you to create calculated measure:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_93.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3946\" src=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_93.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"412\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_93.png 440w, https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_93-300x281.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The wizard lets you choose the type of a new calculated measure from six different options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relationship;<\/li>\n<li>Parallel Period;<\/li>\n<li>Growth;<\/li>\n<li>Rolling;<\/li>\n<li>Period to date;<\/li>\n<li>Custom MDX;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The last option is for experts that are familiar with MDX querying language. All other options will let you create new measures in an easy wizard mode.<\/p>\n<p>For example, let\u2019s create a calculated measure of an average sales amount by orders \u2013 the ratio of sales amount to orders count. Select a \u201cRelationship\u201d measure type:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_94.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3947\" src=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_94.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"412\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_94.png 440w, https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_94-300x281.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Press \u201cNext\u201d and fill in the fields in the next window as it is shown in the picture:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_95.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3948\" src=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_95.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"434\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_95.png 434w, https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_95-419x450.png 419w, https:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/6_95-279x300.png 279w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 434px) 100vw, 434px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After pressing \u201cFinish\u201d you will see the folder for calculated measures in the measures list and it will contain a new measure:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/8_4.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5209\" src=\"http:\/\/bitimpulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/8_4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"248\" height=\"252\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now you can use that calculated measures the same way you use the other measures.
