Creating a Calculated Field
After you created the data source, you can add a new calculated field based on the existing data source fields.
To create a calculated field, select the required data source in the Data Source list and click the «Add Calculated Field» button on the “Data Source” tab:
In the “Expression Editor” window that appears, you can specify the calculated field:
The following elements are available:
- Functions
- Operators
- Columns
- Constants
Later-generated calculated field will be displayed in the data source structure:
The calculated field has its own context menu:
- Add Calculated Field – add calculated field;
- Edit Expression… – edit calculated field;
- Field Type – define calculated field type;
- Rename – changes the calculated field name;
- Delete – removes the calculated field from the data
